If you volunteer with an organisation in Kingston and have an interest in helping other people of any age to better health and wellbeing, we have some exciting training for you.

The Health Navigator Training is a 3 hour interactive learning session at Hillcroft College, Surbiton (we pay travel expenses)

The training is run through Kingston Voluntary Action as part of our Kingston Digital Health Project. It is a practical hands-on session giving you the skills and knowledge to help local people find their way around a wealth of online health information.

Activities and resources include:

  • a walk-through of the NHS Choices website with themed searches and quizzes
  • a detailed look through local health directories
  • a practical session installing and using recommended health apps
  • raising awareness of the lack of basic digital skills and where to signpost people for training

There will be plenty of time built in for discussion around the practical application of your new skills and knowledge – how to use them within your organisation, or pass on to your family and friends.

The training is run through Kingston Voluntary Action as part of our Kingston Digital Health Project funded by the Department of Health. All learners receive a certificate of participation from Kingston Voluntary Action at a ‘graduation’ ceremony.
