Volunteer Boxing Judge - Surrey Clubs for Young People (SCYP)
SCYP is a charity dedicated to ensuring that young people across Surrey and South London have access to high quality youth provision by supporting a large network of youth clubs and projects across the county.
We are looking for volunteers (18 plus, male or female) to become Boxing Judges at open shows and championships across Surrey and South London. Judges are taken from a pool and may be called on to officiate at weekend days or evenings and occassional midweek evenings.
We offer full training which will include an exam to qualify.
This would be of particular interest to anyone who has a passion for sport. You can choose how much you do but with a minimum committment of once every 6 weeks and preferably with an involvement of 12 months plus.
You do not have to have any previous Boxing or Judging experience as full training will be given. Just a passion for working with young people, being self-confident, having attention to detail and having a proffessional consistent and fair approach. A Disclosure and Barring Service (formally CRB) check is required for all those working with young people.
