Volunteer Youth Worker, Surrey Clubs for Young People (SCYP)
SCYP is a charity dedicated to ensuring that young people across Surrey and South London have access to high quality youth provision by supporting a large network of youth clubs and projects across the county.
Volunteer Youth Workers are based in one of our clubs/projects to provide support to the club leaders. Typical tasks include planning/running activities, interacting with young people and other activities specific to the club.
Formal qualifications are not required, just a passion for working with young people, being self-confident, good communicator and inclusive and welcoming to others. A Disclosure and Barring Service (formally CRB) check is required for all those working with young people.
If you have a skill- sport, performance, cooking, craft etc. this could be a valuable asset to one of our clubs.
